Easy to budget; included hot breakfast; service friendly; rooms clean; no odor; furnishings in good condition.
Distance from college over 20mins traveling.
Not much. It was more like a one star hotel. They did have top sheets over the blanket. That was good. Didn't eat there.
Very slow check in. Old. Dark room. Rumpled beds. Smelly bathroom like stale towel smell. Would not stay there again. I'd rather sleep in my car.
The front desk was very kind.
I'm sorry but I would never stay there again. The hotel halls/stairwell and room smells horrible. It was obvious that the were not aired out for some time. We had to move to another room because a lizard ran across the floor. I quietly asked the very kind gentleman at the front desk for another room. I didn't tell mY daughter why or she would not have stayed there. I would have left if it wasn't 10:00 at night and we were leaving early the next day. The breakfast as well looked a little worn. The fruit looked old, the oj was watered down and the bacon was burnt. It looked as though the same food was brought out every day until used up. Again between the lizard, the musky smell and food, I would never go back. In fact I should have gotten the room for free after finding a retile in it. I never asked.
I liked the first floor accommodations as my husband has walking issues. The handicap bathroom was a definite plus. The hotel was quiet and clean. And it was located relatively a short distance from places we wanted to see while visiting the area. In addition, having a full breakfast included as part of the price of a night's stay was great!
Our only complaint was that hotel staff working at the front desk tended to "ignore" us as we passed the desk. From a customer service perspective, this lack of courtesy could loose the hotel potential customers. Front desk personnel has a responsibility to greet every guest with at least a "hello." This situation can be rectified with appropriate training in customer service protocol by the management.
the staff was really nice, they had a pretty decent restaurant. We enjoyed our supper.
there was no elevator, and the hotel itself was a little run down, needs a few new carpets....but the nice staff made up for that.
I could book online while on route. The front desk staff for check on was very polite. The bed itself was comfortable.
Very dated and in need of remodeling. Everywhere we looked we shook our heads wondering. Probably was lovely at one time but cleaning Ian't even going to help. People sitting out front seemingly without a purpose could have been uncomfortable for those traveling alone. Even in this are it should have been less per night. I travel a lot and hope you consider my judgment. I am happy to pay more for more, bit this was poor to fair for less than expected.
Good free breakfast.
Some foods on dinner menu were impossible to swallow.
The room smelt a little of mildew.
The cleaning staff was friendly and helpful
The front desk staff was curt and rude at times. Breakfast was poor and the buffet was not kept clean and well stocked. We only ate one morning and then when out for breakfast.
Reasonably priced, convenient location to colleges (Marist, Vassar), clean room. Hot breakfast was ok.
The room A/C worked well, but would have liked it bit cooler.
The building is in serious need of repair. There are water damaged ceilings everywhere I looked. The wall paper is peeling off everywhere.
The hotel was old and dirty and I wanted to leave the minute I walked in. The rooms smelled and I was scared to death there were bedbugs or worst. The bathroom had rust in the bathtub and we had to "jiggle the handle" of the toilet because it continued to "run" after flushing. We choose this hotel for 2 reasons, it had an outside pool and we had 3 children with us and the 3-star rating from your site. The pool was already closed and it should be a 1-star. I travel all the time and I usually use Booked.net but decided to try your site. I will be going back to Booked.net. The hotel ruined the trip.
Location of hotel was convenient. That was the only good thing about the stay.
Room was very dark and dated! Didn't have a mini fridge in room. When inquired about fridge availability was told that they would wheel one over for $5.00 but it likely wouldn't be cold for several hours. Bathroom floor and tub/shower were not clean. Towels were discolored and very hard (needed fabric softener and better laundry service). Only one ice machine clear across the other side of the hotel next to the "comedy club." Would never stay there again.
Staff didn't know their jobs. Ran out of food, silverware and wine at banquet. No heat, poor lighting. Desert for banquet was mini brownies from local supermarket. Ran out of food at breakfast each morning.
We brought a 12 lb dog and a) $25 fee, b) being trapped in the room with the dog. $25 was 30% of the nightly rate, which is outrageous!
